Create a Soft Play Area Indoors or Outdoors
The setup you need will depend on your venue, surface and the individual equipment included in your booking.
Indoor Soft Play Hire
Soft Play Hire is available for indoor bookings throughout the year and is ideal for village halls, community centres, function rooms and other suitable venues.
Some of our packages contain Box Castles which are designed for indoor use only. If you need a package suitable for outdoors, please speak to our team as we may be able to change the castle included.

Outdoor Soft Play Hire
Soft play can also be used outdoors when weather conditions are suitable, but standard soft play must be protected from dirt, moisture and unsuitable surfaces.
For outdoor use, soft play must be set up on a suitable clean surface such as artificial grass, or inside a suitable marquee with a fitted floor. Inflatables cannot be installed on artificial grass and need real grass outdoors.
We also now offer dedicated outdoor soft play options, so check the individual product information to see what is suitable for your event.
Hall & Venue Bookings
If your Soft Play Hire, Ball Pool Hire or Soft Play Package is being used indoors, we plan delivery and collection around the access times you have booked with your venue.
When booking, we ask for your event start and finish times as well as the earliest time we can access the venue and the time by which everything must be removed.
As a general setup guide:
- Allow at least 30 minutes for one main item.
- Allow approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour where two or more main items are being installed.
By main item we mean equipment such as Soft Play, a Ball Pool or a Bouncy Castle rather than small extras such as Didi Cars. More complex setups may require additional time.
For example, if your package contains Soft Play, a Ball Pool, a Bouncy Castle and Didi Cars and your party runs from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, venue access from 12:00pm to 4:00pm gives our team time to set up before your guests arrive and pack everything away afterwards.
Safe Soft Play & Bouncy Castle Hire
Safety is a priority across our Soft Play and children's entertainment
range. We hold £5 million Public Liability Insurance,
and our electrical equipment is PAT tested every six months.
Our inflatable equipment is tested in accordance with BS EN
14960 and carries PIPA or RPII certification where applicable, and
every castle is cleaned between hires. Other equipment is inspected and
maintained as appropriate for its use.
Our team delivers and sets up your equipment, but adequate supervision of
unstaffed equipment remains the responsibility of the hirer throughout the
event.
Our Ball Pools
Our ball pools are made and designed in-house by our own team, helping us
keep our range up to date with changing customer requirements and party
themes. We use commercial-grade soft play balls and our equipment is
cleaned regularly as part of our hire operation.

Yes, when the weather is suitable. Standard soft play needs a clean, dry surface such as artificial grass or a marquee with a fitted floor, and we also offer dedicated outdoor soft play options.
How much space do I need?
Each set and package lists its footprint on the product page. For halls, check both floor space and ceiling height, especially if your package includes a bouncy castle.
