Terms of Hire, Insurance, Risk Assessments & Safety Documents
At Gedling Bouncy Castle Hire, safety is our top priority. We take pride in delivering clean, well-maintained equipment and ensuring every setup is completed safely and professionally.
All inflatable equipment is tested in accordance with BS EN 14960 and carries a valid PIPA tag (or equivalent certification where applicable). We hold £5 million Public Liability Insurance, giving you complete peace of mind.
All equipment is installed by trained staff and inspected during setup to ensure it is safe and ready for use. Our full setup, operation and safety procedures can be found within our method statements below.
Supervision & Responsibilities
Where staff are booked, they will be responsible for:
- Safe operation of the equipment
- Monitoring wind conditions (outdoor bookings)
- Supervising participants
Where equipment is hired without staff, responsibility for supervision and wind monitoring passes to the hirer.
In these cases, we provide:
- A wind meter (for outdoor bookings)
- A PDF safety pack including operating instructions and emergency procedures
- A full safety briefing on delivery
Staffing
If required, trained staff can be provided to supervise equipment:
- £45 per hour per staff member
- Typically 1 staff member per inflatable (depending on size of the inflatable and duration of the event)

Our method statements outline the safe procedures for delivery, setup, operation and pack down of equipment. These are also used as part of staff training to ensure safe and consistent setups.

Inflatable Testing & Compliance
All inflatable equipment complies with BS EN14960 standards.
Each inflatable that can be tested under the PIPA scheme is fitted with a valid PIPA tag (blue tag), confirming it has passed annual safety testing.
