Booked a village hall for a birthday party and wondering if a bouncy castle will fit? The good news is that most halls can take one, as long as you choose the right castle. Here's how to check, and which of our castles suit which halls.
Step 1: Measure the Ceiling (at Its Lowest Point)
The ceiling is the thing that decides which castle you can have. Measure from the floor to the lowest point above where the castle will go, including hanging lights, beams, heaters and basketball hoops, not the middle of the room. Many halls list their ceiling height on their website, or the hall booking secretary will know it.
Step 2: Match Your Ceiling to a Castle
- 8.5ft ceiling or more: our box castles are only 7.5ft tall, in Jungle, Princess, Pirate, Dinosaur and more.
- 10.5ft or more: our Celebration and Football castles are 9.8ft tall.
- 11.5ft or more: our themed castles and bounce and slide combis are 10.5ft tall.
- 12.6ft to 13.5ft or more: adult castles, for sports halls and big function rooms.

Step 3: Check the Floor Space
Each product page shows a Required Space, which includes room around the castle for children to get on and off safely. Use that figure rather than the castle size. A box castle is 10ft x 14ft, so it fits comfortably in most small halls with room left for tables and chairs.
Step 4: Access, Power and Timings
- Doors and steps: check the door width and any steps between the car park and the hall, and tell us about steps when you book.
- Power: we need a standard plug socket within 30 metres.
- Timings: book the hall for a little longer than your party. We plan setup and collection around your venue access times, for example access from 9:00, party 10:00 to 12:00, and access until 13:00.

Hall parties often have a mix of ages. Adding a soft play set and ball pool gives toddlers their own space, and our party packages combine a castle and soft play for less than hiring them separately.
