It’s been a little while since we updated our blog… but there’s definitely been no shortage of things happening at Gedling Castle Hire!
2026 has already been an incredibly busy year for our team. From children's birthday parties and school fun days to weddings, corporate events, university events and large-scale celebrations, we've been out and about bringing the fun to events across Nottingham, the East Midlands and further afield.
With summer drawing to a close and another busy few months ahead of us, we thought now was the perfect time to look back at some of what we've been up to – and give you a taste of what's still to come before the end of 2026!
Summer 2026 – What a Busy One!
If you've spotted one of our vans out on the road this summer, there's a good chance we've been heading to an event somewhere!
Summer is always one of our busiest times of year, and 2026 certainly didn't disappoint.
We've supplied equipment for school fun days, corporate family days, community events, weddings, birthday parties, private celebrations and plenty more.
And it certainly hasn't been all bouncy castles!
Our equipment has included everything from bouncy castles, slides and huge inflatable assault courses to trampoline trailers, rodeos, Ultimate Wipeout, crazy golf, interactive games, sports challenges, simulators, fun food and much more.
That's one of the things we love about what we do – no two events are ever quite the same.
Some customers need a single bouncy castle for a birthday party.
Others need multiple attractions capable of entertaining hundreds of guests throughout the day.
Whatever the size of the event, our team works behind the scenes to get everything delivered, set up and ready for when the fun begins.
Still Bringing the Fun to Birthday Parties
Although our range has grown enormously over the years, children's birthday parties are still a huge part of Gedling Castle Hire.
Throughout 2026 we've continued supplying bouncy castles, slides, soft play, ball pools, Didi Cars and party packages to homes, halls and venues across the area.
We know how much there is to think about when you're organising a children's party, so our aim is to make the entertainment side of things as simple as possible.

In fact, one of our April customers commented on how useful it was that we already knew their village hall and could take care of the setup while they concentrated on everything else for the party.
They said it was "one less thing for me to think about at a busy time!"
That's exactly what we want our service to be.
Fun Days Have Been BIG in 2026
We've had some fantastic fun day bookings this year!
Schools, businesses and organisations have been mixing and matching attractions to create everything from smaller activity areas to full-scale fun days.
Our bigger attractions are always popular for these events, including:

The great thing about building a fun day with different activities is that there's something for everyone.
Some guests will be straight onto the biggest attraction they can find, while others would much rather challenge somebody to a game, have a go at crazy golf or watch from the sidelines!
And, as the British weather likes to remind us, sometimes plans need to change.
One of our August 2026 customers booked us for a works family day with a bouncy castle, slide and photo wall. When the weather took a turn for the worse, we were able to help them swap some of their planned inflatable entertainment for indoor games instead.
They later told us:
"Massive variety of items on the website to hire. We will definitely use again."
A bit of flexibility can make a huge difference when you're organising an event!

Corporate Events & Staff Fun Days
2026 has also been another busy year for our corporate and larger event side.
Companies are increasingly looking for entertainment that gets people talking, competing, laughing and actually getting involved – rather than simply standing around at another work event.
That's where interactive entertainment comes into its own.
From racing simulators, air hockey and football tables to rodeos, crazy golf, arcade games, interactive challenges and photo experiences, there are loads of ways to create an event that feels a little different.
We've also supplied equipment for company family days where children and adults need to be entertained together.
One of our customers this summer summed up their experience simply as:

University Events & Freshers 2026
September means one thing for universities...
Freshers!
Our university entertainment range has continued to grow, with equipment suitable for Freshers events, student wellbeing activities, campus engagement, graduation celebrations and Students' Union events.
From rodeo bulls and inflatables to arcade games, dance mats, racing simulators, selfie experiences, air hockey, interactive challenges and competitive games, there's plenty to get students involved.
The best university events aren't necessarily about having one enormous attraction.
Creating a mix of quick-play games, competitive activities, photo opportunities and larger attractions means students can wander between activities, meet new people and get involved without feeling forced into anything.
And that's exactly the kind of atmosphere Freshers events should create.
Weddings With a Difference
We've loved being part of weddings and private celebrations again this year.
More couples are looking for ways to make the time between the ceremony, meal and evening celebrations just as memorable as the main event.
And that's where entertainment can make a massive difference.
Our wedding range includes options such as our white wedding bouncy castle, wedding crazy golf, selfie experiences, 360 booth, LOVE letters, rodeo entertainment, Pick 'n' Mix and entertainment for younger guests.
It's not about turning your wedding into a funfair – unless that's exactly what you want!
It's about choosing one or two things that give your guests something extra to do, create great photo opportunities and get different groups of people mixing together.
We're already looking ahead to 2027 weddings, too, so it's definitely not too early to start planning.

From spooky party entertainment to our Rodeo Pumpkin, we've got some brilliant options for schools, universities, private parties, corporate events and Halloween celebrations.
But once Halloween is over, there's another rather big event on the horizon...
Christmas 2026 Is Coming!
Yes, we know it's only September.
But in the events world, Christmas planning is already well underway!
November and December are incredibly busy months for us, and we're already taking bookings for company Christmas parties, school celebrations, community events, festive family days and end-of-year events.

Then, before we know it, we'll be doing it all over again in 2027!
Our range might be much bigger than when Gedling Castle Hire first started, but the important part hasn't changed.
