In July 2017 we supplied a surf simulator and disco for a child’s birthday party in Carlton, Nottingham while we were providing our services we met Lenny from Star Eventz. Lenny was suppling a photobooth, thinking back to all the events we have provided for I had never seen anything like this photo booth it was defiantly one of a kind and such a great addition to the party. The party had many great features such as a BBQ, Non-Alcoholic Cocktails with umbrellas in, inflatable balls and palm trees, these all fit well with the Caribbean beach party theme the client had chosen. Once all the items were set up the place looked like you’d just stepped into the Caribbean!
Lenny set up quickly and efficiently and the set up looked great, the mirror stood at one end, with a red carpet trailing up to it, secured in by red velvet rails, giving you that famous red carpet feel. A green screen was set up behind where the images were taken so that the images came out with a Caribbean themed background to match the theme of the party. A table was situated next to the booth full of amazing props such as feather boas, crazy hats, wackty glasses and loads more.
Lenny and his team really interacted with the children making sure they knew how to operate the booth, allowing them to sign their names on the mirror with the amazing on-screen sign feature, he is such an approachable person and this showed through his great personality. This party was defiantly one the birthday girl and her friends will never forget. We set up our disco set up on the stage next to Lenny and the surf simulator was set up at the side of the dance floor. Our DJ blasted out all the great tunes and took many requests from children, he played all their favourite songs that they danced along with. The children loved the surf simulator and took turns to see who could ride the waves the longest.
At the end of the party after speaking with our client to check they were all happy, we packed away and then approached Lenny to ask for his business card so we can pass on his details for any photo booth enquires we got. While chatting to Lenny we learnt that he and his team had only recently started out in the entertainments industry so we gave him a few helpful tips to get him on track.
Once we got home we did some research by looking at Star Eventz website and Facebook, we noted that Lenny has many 5* reviews and his website contains all the information including prices which is exactly what I would want to see if I was a customer. There nothing more I hate then viewing websites with no prices.
