Virtual Party

Who said you couldn't have a party with your friends? Well now you can! This fantastic social distancing phase may have hit hard however with modern technology you can still celebrate with your loved ones!

A great thing about a virtual party is that no one has to worry about travel and you aren't limited to numbers so invite as many people as you like! Just send them an invite by email or create a facebook group with the details of event and how to access the party!

Skype is a great platform to host your party, you can have up to 50 people in one video chat and it works on every platform, windows, mac, smart phone and tablets. It’s free to download, but you’ll need to create an account to get started.

Scavenger Hunt

For kids opening presents is the probably the best part of their birthday however this tends to be a quick process and with a party with their friends no longer being an option why not create a birthday treasure hunt. Start by hiding clues around the house and leave the presents at the end with the last clue.

You could then fill the day with baking, family time, games and then settle down to watch your child’s favourite film before bedtime.

Movie Night

Transform your living room into a twinkling fairy light den with popcorn, snacks and a movie. A great and easy option, you could even theme the event. This works perfectly for all ages.

Putting pillows and a blanket on the floor for a cosy feeling, add fairy lights if you wish, or even light up numbers. Make some popcorn and grab some sweets and snacks in glass jars or bowls or in cute or themed cups to make it even more special.

Camping

Put a tent up in your back garden! Grab a torch, some board games, blankets, pillows and lots of snacks! A fun and enjoyable option. You could even make this a no phone event! Fun for all!

Roast some marshmallows or melt some chocolate, there is so much you could do! If you don’t have a tent you could always make a den and camp inside your living room and watch a film, to do this all you need is a bed sheet!
